At manual call point (MCP) locations the PROLINE sensor cable would be installed within conduit between floor and call point wall location to consider any increased risk of mechanical damage at these points. Sensor cable use together with a PROLINE supplied ZI-01 interface unit would also provide alarm point location indication.
Integration with a customer central fire alarm or building management control panel is simply achieved by sensor cable connection to the panel address loop zone monitor unit or via the volt free output contacts on a PROLINE ZI interface unit.
In addition to a basic single alarm signal the specified ZI interface can provide the central panel with additional signalling of pre-alarm, ambient temperature rise warning and continued detection with an open circuit fault detected.
Where local electrical wiring standards specify a conductor size larger than the 0.912mm of the sensor cable and/or where 2 hour fire rating is required for cables used for MCP wiring PROLINE TH sensor cable can be installed adjacent to the required cable to provide an economic additional level of over-heat/fire detection.
